Duncan

Daphne

Duncan is settling in well.  The cat is not too thrilled about a new dog in the house, but he'll adjust.  He is a very laid back dog and fits our family very well.

The Gaugler family.

Daphne continues to do well.  She is now weighing 110 lbs - 6 lbs up from her last vet visit.  She is quite the comedian.  Always playful and curious, but very disappointed that the cats will not play.  She is a great companion for Dante.  She is a joy and always entertaining with her antics.

Onyx

Trig

Onyx graduating from obedience class.  Congratulations Wendy and Onyx!  After his C.G.C. test he will go on to get a Therapy Dog title.

Trig is standing at the office door taking his job as P.R. director very seriously.  There are very few people who can walk in the door of the shop and resist going over to pet him.  Thanks Janet, for letting us have Trig in our lives. We laugh at him every day. Thankfully I don't think it hurts his feelings.  The customers love him and he knows when we tell him to lay down that he has to go behind the desk and lay on his blanket until the customer leaves the office.  Can you tell he is spoiled?

Amy and Doug

Daisy

Daisy

Daisy (formally Gracie) is a great fit for us. She is such a sweet affectionate dog and is exactly what we wanted. She likes to be in the middle of whatever we are doing. She adjusted very quickly to her new home and buddy and is wonderful with our son. We really appreciate your help in getting us this beautiful Dane.

Steven & Deborah

Here is a photo of my kids dressed up for Halloween. Thanks for matching me up with Tweak. He and Madison are great buddies. He is so funny...sometimes I think he feels like he adopted me and I'm HIS pet. He is at my side everywhere I go and has to curl up on the couch as close to me as possible.

Thanks, Matt & Elisa

Boris & Katie

Valkyrie

These are my third and fourth rescue dogs from GDCGKC since 1990 - thanks to Janet Quick for the last three and Glenda Burns for the first one. Boris, the mantle, and Katie, who Janet refers to as a "head harlequin" have been with me four years now. The story is that they are half-siblings from the same "breeder" and were raised together. They were around three years old when their owners got a divorce, had to sell their house, and called Janet for help finding a home for them. Katie is built like a greyhound and loves to run. Boris is a lot bigger and is content to watch her do the running. They are compulsive watchdogs and small animal hunters. But, their greatest talent is soliciting affection. As soon as you stop petting them you either get a paw on your hand or a nose under your arm. And you had better be good at petting two dogs at once or you will have a problem. Boris had laser surgery on one eye last year to arrest the growth of a tumor in the iris. It seems to have stopped growing so we hope that means it is not malignant. We got it before it was big enough to affect his sight. He also had some small skin lesions removed which tested malignant and may come back. The vet says if we're lucky we can just keep cutting them off and maybe they won't metastasize. So, not a great year for staying out of trouble but apparently good for getting out of trouble. My first two Danes both made it to age ten. So, knock on wood.

Valkyrie is doing great. She is a wonderful dog. We have found a new past time sitting on the couch with me and the cat at night.

I adopted Xena in March, 2000 and she was 3 yrs old at that time.

Here she is at 12 yrs old doing great. She has been a

wonderful dog and still very healthy.

Nate

am doing great.  I have two teenage boys to play with and 3 acres to run in.

My new parents take me on play dates and group walks to keep me socialized. We are still working on me playing rough sometimes but I am much better. I get a lot of love and attention at my new home, I even sleep with my parents.

Sammy

Zeus

Isis

Zeus is such a sweetheart.  He feels very much at home with us.  Isis is a little jealous but they are settling in better each day.
